- Make ready *e.g. Shiso, Wasabi, Spring Onion, Toasted Sesame Seeds, etc
- Make ready <Marinade>
- Get 1 teaspoon Mirin
- Take 2-3 teaspoons Soy Sauce
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon Wasabi
- Take 1 teaspoon Grated Ginger
Comes with daily appetiser, fruit of the day, miso soup & rice. For a Sushi and Sashimi feast, Tsukiji Sushi Takewaka is the place to be. Have you heard of kaisen don? It's a popular Japanese dish that is basically a bowl of sashimi on top of a bed of rice.
Steps to make Sashimi ‘Zuké Don':
- Make the marinade first. Place Mirin, Soy Sauce, Wasabi and Grated Ginger in a small bowl and mix well.
- Slice Fish Fillet into small pieces and add to the marinade. Rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Half fill a bowl with freshly cooked rice, cover with the Toasted Nori and place marinated fish pieces on top. Place some finely sliced Shiso or chopped Spring Onion, and/or other condiments of your choice and enjoy.
