- Cut into rectangle shape and place onto a baking tray. Use a fork to press down lightly to make the pattern. Sprinkle with caster sugar.
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until pale golden-brown. Set aside to cool on a wire rack. It’s simply delicious 😋
Place butter in mixer and beat with paddle until soft and light. How to freeze Scottish shortbread: Allow the cookies to cool completely. Wrap cooled cookies (a few at a time) tightly with plastic wrap. Then wrap again in foil for an added layer of airtight protection. Stash the foil-wrapped cookies in large plastic freezer bags or storage containers.
