- In microwave or a vessel cook the tomatoes to good pulpy state.
- Heat oil in a earthen pot. Splutter the mustard seeds.. Add the urud Dal and then the diced shallots, dry chillies and curry leaves.
- Grind the peppercones, jeera, Coriander with stalk,ginger and garlic to a coarse paste. Don't grind it smooth.
- Add this grinded paste to the earthen pot and stir nicely till raw smell goes off. Add the turmeric powder, hingand salt to it. Give it a good stir.
- Add the tomatoes precooked and give good stir add water and cover and cook nicely. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
- Let it cook for 5 to 10 minutes and serve it hot with rice or as a soup.
